The Gentleman
My person
It’s interesting how generation are different. As a Gen-X, I grew up in a wonderful Australia, I was a Boy Scout, I played several sports, I explored my community on my bike, and I created imaginative things.
My Father was heroic, as a Firefighter, he saved many lives and lived his life based on principles, those of which he instilled in to me. Some principles will stand the test of time, Pythagoras’s theorem, the 10 Commandments, Chivalry, celestial navigation.
I’m best described as analogue with digital upgrades, I grew up in an era where situations were solved by one guy, Rambo, Commando, Die Hard, MacGyver, Michael Knight…. and whilst from a young age I was asked if I would be a firefighter too, I always declined.
For much of my life I’ve had ultra perfect vision, 40/30, what people can see at 30 metres, I can see the same at 40 metres, and this is an asset that has been very useful in my Search and Rescue career. I’m also a lot of human being, well over 100kilo, and 194cm, I have high level protective instincts, it’s these attributes that have formed my thinking around business and what role I play in the community, not just a job.
The future
I’ve done much, but while there is still breath in me, I’m still on the hunt.
2027 looks like it will bring a new enterprise in boat building, which will be fun, modern economic will play a big part in my financial interests, and in my home life I’m still scouring the planet for a wonderful lady that our lives become complimentary.
Many of the men in my bloodline have only lived to mid 50’s, and while we know what it was, and I get checked, I’m not worried about death, I had a good time, don’t be sorry for me, be sorry for yourself that you didn’t spend more of it with me. I hope to outlive my mother, to relieve her of the sadness.
With that said, I’m almost in perfect health, I think the term they use is “brick shithouse”, although my mind and business aptitude is outgrowing my slightly reducing physical capabilities.
If you as a person, a company, a corporation, or other wise, have a question, please feel free to ask it. If I don’t know the answer, I could point you in the direction of someone who would.
I’m open to a relationship, I’m open to commercial opportunities.
I'm multifaceted
When people ask me to describe myself, I do so much that it can be overwhelming on where to start.
Many people have a job, a family, and they sleep 8 or so hours a night, maybe a hobby or two.
I wasn’t fortunate enough to have my own family, but I do work 40 or so hours for someone else, I work 40 or so hours for myself, I have about 10 commercial interests and I do considerable amounts of volunteer community work. The Rubik’s cube is one of the best ways to describe myself, some faces, can’t see other faces, where as many faces flow seamlessly beside one another like my community work and commercial boating interests.
In 100 years people won’t care what I did, enjoy your life, be a good person and have fun.
Net wealth
There’s this pub I like to go to, and in it a place I like to stand. In doing so, I have many funny stories to tell.
One night, a lady walks up to me with two friends in toe, about 50 or so years of age, and she asks me which one of her two friends I’d like to f#@k. I replied to her that she has the wrong person, and I’m only at the pub for a drink because I can’t have 500 people at my place so I come here.
(I do like screwing with people given the opportunity)
I said “Look, obviously you’ve recognised my face, but you can’t put a name to it, or you’d just look me up in the BRW rich list, please just take your friends and go enjoy your night where you were before,”
Stupidly, she asked my net worth, to which I replied, ” I have so many investment interests, it fluctuates daily, I’d have to call my accountant and stock broker”.
You’ll see Financial Services is new, I made a pretty lady a promise, and I’ve been working hard to keep it. APRA required me to have a background in economics to own a bank, so I went and studied economics to add to my existing qualifications and experience, and a bank I do have. The promise is that she gets 49% of the banks end of quarter profits and she at no time carries any of the risk. If I pass away before her, a new manager will run the bank and she will get her 49% and my 51% until the day before her passing.
